Quân đội Mỹ đang thử nghiệm một phiên bản không người lái của máy bay trực thăng Black Hawk nổi tiếng. Những chiếc Black Hawk không người lái nặng 5 tấn này có thể sẽ sớm được sử dụng chính thức.

Cốt lõi của chương trình Công nghệ Matrix của Sikorsky là SARA - một máy bay trực thăng không người lái được thiết kế để thử nghiệm công nghệ bay không người lái tiên tiến. Chiếc SARA đầu tiên bay vào ngày 26.7.2013 , nhưng vẫn tiếp tục là một nền tảng quan trọng để thử nghiệm hệ thống công nghệ cao đòi hỏi sự giám sát tối thiểu của con người, theo các quan chức Sikorsky. - Thằng phi công sau khi thực hiên xong phi vụ thì đưa máy bay về độ cao nhất định: Tao trả chúng mài nài. Bọn mặt đất lạn hạ cái máy bay xuống, kiểm tra, bảo dưỡng rồi ủn vào kho.
