OFEC welcomes all members like and willing to learn English, just do not be afraid to share. We talk about English on this topic or get together at 3 P.M on Sunday every week at the 2nd floor _27A Tran Binh Trong Street.
There are rules to remember
1. You can comment in English but do not discuss anything relates to politic, religion or banned by the law
2 Please does not share pivate personal information which shared when we get together

Please expose yourself, we are not English native then we have our right to speak, to write broken English, especially in this circumstance.

Sure, in this thread, pls use English to discuss, and remember you don't need to use the formal English, we come here for "cutting the wind", right? So, try to use the conversational English

There are some mistakes, you should correct like bold letters above:

About the mistakes, are you sure that you don't have mistake when using Vietnamese? Are you sure you can talking in Vietnamese without mistakes? And what about Vietnamese grammar? I'm sure many people here have a lot of mistakes with Vietnamese grammar rule when writing or speaking.

Please excuse the mistakes, anyone who are afraid of making mistakes pls make mistakes by talking here, don't be shy.

In my opinion, pls don't try to correct them, it's not good for others, when someone speak or write something wrong, and you show the mistakes, that people will feel embarrassed, and after that, they will not say anything 'cause they're afraid of mistakes

This is right! We should make things right (whenever things go wrong), both speaking and writing. Anyone who really want to use English will beat his/her embarrassment, talking/writing again after mistakes.

Many manyt people say: "my E is bad, pls tell me/correct me if I have mistake", so why don't we do it!
And do it with all your heart...

One more thing, I think if you guys want to use slang, use translated-into-Eng Vietnamese slang sounds quite funny and weird! Like "cutting the wind", I was like :O cuz I couldn't get it at the beginning. I had to translate it into Vietnamese again to understand. So if you want to learn Eng effectively, use English slangs instead.

Sure, thanks a lot, but do you understand what I am talking about?

We practice (not learning) English for communication, right? Not for analysing so I dont think its helpful. I know I have a lot of mistake when speaking and writing but I'll continue to write, speak, read and listen, The two last activities will help me to correct in a nature way, I mean when I read, I can automatically remember vocabularies, grammar rules etc. after that, when you speak or write, you'll feel your phrases correct or not

With listening, when you listen to native people for a long time, your pronunciation will be better.

If someone always think about grammar rules, vocabulary when communicate with other, it's not a good idea

Remember when studying English at school, teacher asks a question, you give your answer, but it has mistakes, your teacher will tell you that mistakes, your classmates will laugh at you, you'll feel embarrassing, one time, two times ... and then you'll never give your answers or speak anything again

@UAZ, Hungnhd and all. Surely we don't need to speak,talk or write correct grammar English. However, we should welcome, appreciate anyone who can provide help or correction to our sentences. I'm not so sure even if I can speak Vietnamese correctly so again...who cares.

If you are meeting somene for the first time ,you can say:

These sentences are often used after the other person has been introduced to you

@ UAZ: Ok you're right. However, texting is little different from speaking. If we talking with each other face to face, it is easier to understand and it's real speaking environment. Nonetheless, we are communicating with text so it's quite annoying if we see too much mistakes. So I think it's ok if someone can tell us some common mistake we should avoid (it's like while we are talking, some people can correct our pronuciation).

Moreover, I myself agree with one who talks about using slang or idiom. We should "speak" like the native but not Vietlish . Because when we use English as Vietnamese language it is not natural and no one except us (the Vietnamese) can understand what we are talking about. Of course, using some Vietnamese words can make fun, but using too much will destroy the purpose of this thread.

Anyway, have fun together. That's good enough kaka.
