A Communist built road serves as a footpath for members of the 1st Cavalry Division during Operation Delaware in the A Shau Valley. The road was built with metal strips, normally used by allied forces for constructing landing strips. It was disclosed April 28th that the cavalrymen had invaded the valley and fought a costly battle to establish a foothold in the Communist enclave.
