Cụ bấm vào sẽ có giới hạn của từng loại giấy phép lái xe. Về cơ bản 1 thằng Úc để lấy được bằng lái xe đầy đủ (open license) thì nó phải trải qua 3 giai đoạn, kéo dài 5 năm.
Giai đoạn 1 (học lái, Learner license), thi đỗ lý thuyết là có, lái ko được ra đường 1 mình mà phải có người ngồi cạnh, người này phải có bằng open ít nhất 1 năm.
Sau 1 năm thì được phép đăng ký thi P1 (mình cứ nôm na gọi là P đỏ)
Giới hạn của P đỏ

- drive under the influence of illegal or prescription drugs
- accumulate 4 or more demerit points in any 1 year period or you will have to choose between a suspension and a good driving behaviour period
- supervise a learner driver.
