According to Russian Vedomosti, the Israeli air force was able to destroy the Russian Pantsir-S air defense system, which was put into service with the Syrian army, on 9 attempts. Until that moment, the air defense and missile defense system successfully coped with the destruction of 8 missiles, also fired by Israeli military aircraft, however, instead of changing their position, the crew remained in place, waiting for a transport-loading machine, which the Israeli Air Force took advantage of, firing at "Shell" is another rocket.
“The Israeli armed forces were able to destroy one of the Government Pantsir-S complexes in Syria because the machine did not change position after the ammunition was shot,” said the chief designer for air defense systems of the Instrument Design Bureau named after Academician A.G. Shipunova (part of Rostec) Valery Slugin. According to Slugin, the "Shell" of the Syrian armed forces managed to hit eight targets, having spent the entire ammunition. The combat crew left the air defense system and stood nearby - waiting for a transport-loading vehicle, ”the Russian edition reports.
