Remote control key (A8/1) set to "selective" unlocking
When the button "Unlock vehicle" is actuated once, the remote
control key (A8/1) transmits a signal to the corresponding receiver in
the vehicle via radio and infrared signals. They receive the signal
and relay it to the EIS control module (N73) via the CAN class B bus.
The electronic ignition switch control module (N73) checks the
access authorization. If the access authorization is valid, the EIS
control module (N73) transmits the command for selective unlocking
to the left front door control module (N69/1) and right front door
control module (N69/2) and the rear SAM control module with fuse
and relay module (N10/2) via the passenger compartment CAN
bus. These then start the unlocking operation for the door lock and
fuel filler flap depending on the setting for selective unlocking.
If another request for unlocking is received, the vehicle is unlocked
globally. Remote control key (A8/1) set to "global" unlocking
When the button "Unlock vehicle" is actuated once, the remote
control key (A8/1) transmits a signal to the corresponding receiver in
the vehicle via radio and infrared signals. If the access authorization
is valid, the EIS control module (N73) transmits the command for
"global" to the left front door control module (N69/1), right front door
control module (N69/2), left rear door control module (N69/3), right
rear door control module (N69/4) and to the rear SAM control module
with fuse and relay module (N10/2) via the passenger compartment
CAN bus.
These activate locking of the door locks, the fuel filler flap and the
trunk lid.
If the vehicle is unlocked globally or selectively with the remote
control key (A8/1), the interior switches are activated.
